Saint Tatiana
The martyr Tatiana from Rome, lived during the reign of Alexander Severus (222- 235 A.D.), held the ecclesiastical position of Deaconess and in the hymns she is mentioned as a disciple of the Apostles, Saint Peter and Saint Paul. During the persecution of Christians Tatiana was dragged to a pagan temple to renounce her faith. With the power of her prayers she tore down the wooden statues. She was beaten and beheaded and thus delivered her soul to the Lord.
