Saint Anatolios

Saint Anatolios was a military commander. He was present in the martyrdom of Saint George, during the Empire of Diocletian. When Saint George, despite the tortures on the wheel, appeared with the power of God, with an angelic face to Diocletian, some alleged that it was someone who resembled him. Anatolios and Protoleontas, both officers of Saint George, along with a thousand soldiers confessed their faith in Christ and were immediately put to death. His memory is celebrated on April 23.
