Saint John the Theologian
A disciple of Jesus and caretaker of the Mother of God to her Dormition, an apostle of love, John, son of Zebedee and Salome and the younger brother of the Saint Jacob, was initially a disciple of John the Baptist. In his writings he was constantly referring to love and its power, confirming it with every action of his life He followed Jesus with no hesitation or fear till His Ascension. He wrote the 4th consecutive Gospel of the New Testament, the Gospel of love, three general letters and the Apocalypse. He lived till 100 years old and slept peacefully in 105 AD. The phrase "People, love each another" is the one that is solidly linked to his name. His memory is celebrated on May 8 and September 26.
